Ledreborg

Ledreborg is one of Denmark’s finest speciments of 18th century building and landscaping. The palace was built in 1740-45 during the reign of Christian VI by Johan Ludvig Holstein and has been in the same family for 250 years. The main building houses a unique collection of furniture and paintings left untouched since the building of the castle.

If you are a group of 20-25 persons we may arange a guided tour of the castle which is ends in the Family Hall, which is normally closed to the public. Here the guide will tell you about the Family Hall's history while you enjoy a glass of champagne.

This historic place is where we may arrange a day of golf at Ledreborg Palace Golf including lunch of course, and where we will be able to serve the ladies in the party a real afternoon tea with delicious sandwiches, warm scones and buscuits at their convenience – note though that the group must consist of at least 10 ladies and gentlemen.

At Ledreborg Palace we are also able to arrange your very special party with dinner, dance and music, and of course we will take care of your transport as well.

Lejre Experimental Center is situated only a few minutes from Ledreborg palace and is certainly worth a visit. The Center shows 10.000 years of Danish history brought to life. Houses and settings from the Iron Age, Stone Age, Viking Age and 1800th century, historic workshops and domestic animals, located in the beautiful historic landscape near Roskilde.

Roskilde and nearby Køge are both cities worth visiting and we can arrange a special day trip to either place according to your wishes.
